Hey guys, I need alittle advice. Im a very heavy vaper who loves to chain vape. I have yet to find a tank that can keep up with me. I've tryed a few different tanks. Iclear30, iclear30s, evod, ce4, ce5, mini vivi, gemini, and a protank mini with pretty much all the same results. Burnt/dry wicks. My liquid is 70% pg and 30% vg so its not super thick. So any help/suggestions on tanks would be really appreciated! Oh, the tank needs to work on my itaste MVP and SVD. (: thanks!!!

Unfortunately their really aren't any standard coils that can keep up with chain vaping. Silica just doesn't wick that fast. If you really want to chain vape, you are probably going to have to rebuild with cotton.

Maybe something with adjustable air flow like a aero tank or nautilus. I've gotten dry hits on both though. The protank mini 2 has been really bice for me, and I got an aspire bct thats not bad. They both have a tighter draw,so maybe thats why.

I think Steve May be going in the right direction with a cotton wick rebuild. Check Rip Trippers on You Tube for a solid pro tank mini coil rebuild video. :)

I"d say cotton wick and possibly add a little bit of distilled water to your liquid's to thin them out a little bit and help it wick a little better. I order max vg from Mt. Baker Vapor and add distilled water to it to thin it out so I don't have wicking issues.

I've read in a couple of other forums that say that carto tanks are a bit better for chain vaping. Is this true? I've been thinking about trying one. But I will definitely have to look into the cotton rebuild and try thinning my juice a little bit. i would imagine the combo would be perfect.haha thanks for the ideas guys.

I run a carto tank and am a fairly heavy caper that's considering moving to a bottom coil system. I'm not terribly happy with the carto system. LOTS of dry hits and leaking from the coil of my tank. The tank itself leaks sometimes too… Not saying don't try it by any means. Just my opinion .

If you can get a good carto, like bogue and a thinner juice, a carto tank might vape better if you are a chain vaper. Reason being is the filler will be soaked with juice most of the time and if you had a decent carto with a couple of punches, it would probably wick pretty well.

I am also a heavy chain vaper. First I will say from my experience no top coil I found will do the trick. Now I have a protank 3 running a single coil rebuild and a hyper tank with the same coil. Organic cottonball wick. And a 1.8 ohm microcoil or a 2.5 oh micro coil. Depending on preference. A kayfun is good also if you build it right. I find a double coil on a kayfun will never dry hit ive tried and tried hard. Either way I find stock coils are junk.

I had this problem also. I rewick with organic cotton more for flavor and to stop the gurgling. Try takeing unpowered puffs between powered ones to draw juice to tthe wick. Works for me with stock or built coils. On bottom coil tanks I use the pt2. I have most of the top coil tanks you listed and none can keep up with after meal or stress vapeing.

I tend to prefer a higher VG blend too, for now anyways. Maybe that's my issue with cartos.

Thanks for the advice guys! I thinned my liquid a little bit and it does great in my iclear30. I've looked into rebuilding my evod coil as well so i bought some organic cotton wick and some 28 gauge kanthal to rebuild the coils. Also bought a Protank 2 and trident rda to play with. Cant wait to see how this goes!Laugh

If your VG juices are a tad on the thick side you can add a few drops of distilled water into them to help thin them out a bit!

If you want to chain vape on a clearomizer it needs to be something you can rebuild and/or rewick with cotton. Ultimately the best option is something like a Kayfun or Kafun Lite Plus, but that's going to require you to wind and mount the coils yourself. Which really isn't as bad as it sounds considering that if you're using 28 gauge or larger wire the coil itself will last quite some time before it has to be replaced. I usually rebuild mine way before they'd have died just because I want to try a different type of build or just out of boredom.

Kanger Protank Mini 3 has been the best for me.

The new Aspire Nautilus Mini is basically a next-gen carto-tank. It might be what you have been looking for.

I am really enjoying how the new Kanger dual coils are working. Espically in the Aerotank mini.

Here's my $0.02.

I've never had long success with tanks. They will burn out, or gurgle and spit juice in my mouth, or leak out and make a mess, or just crack the plastic tanks with certain e-liquids. I can't stand tanks with the current generation of technology. In a few months, they might actually nail the tech down… but as it is now, I hate them.

So, understanding my extreme bias, my advice for any chain vaper is an RDA. Just carry your e-liquid with you.

If it tastes dry, re-drip!

RDAs are the easiest devices to fix, imo.

She knew which button to push as she put her lips on my mod and sucked out all of the juice.

I think the new Kanger coils and their new adjustable airflow tanks are a good step forward. Especially the new Mega Tank with its wider base that gives more room for juice to get to the coils. You can still get a burnt hit if your tank is low on juice

I've got Kayfun clone on its way to me and from what I have seen (videos) I think that's going to be the bit of kit for a heavy vaper who doesn't want dry hits as everyone really rates how they wick with a micro coil and cotton wick.
