I got one RBA mini dripper here, it came as 2.4 ohm, is there any reason for that high ohm or is it just a bad Factory build?

Is 2.4 ohm's high?

What is a "good" standard general ohm for a tank? I'm asking because Halo's replacement coil heads come in several ohm's and I'm not sure which to get.

On a dripper its high, I see vapors prefer them very low, from 0.8 ohm – 1.5 ohm

BTW I see now, it is listed as a 2.4 ohm dripper Its a SM20 https://www.fasttech.com/products/1358704

WOW that SM20 mini performe very well on my SVD, tons of vapor and flavourer :)

on normal ego or non vv/vw, 3.7 volts, generally keep it 2 ohms or below. 2.2 ohms is ok and will work, and 2.4 will also work, but not very much vapor production. Generally, 2-2.2 ohms or below on normal batteries.

With a vv/vw, well… do what you want lol.

no matter what some people will say about FastTech, they really do have some great vape gear, devices, and mods. They have been stepping up their game and even fulfilling requests for certain clones as well…pretty badass vendor.

I also like the look of the YK1, didn't see that one on there before. Need to go do another run-through of their site, I'm sure they have even more than before.

I would not classify 2.4 ohm's as high, 2.4ohm is standard resistence, my HH357 is 2.5 ohms and to me that is standard or medium resistence. sub ohm coils burn much hotter and will give you a very warm vape, they also really tax your battery. I don't get what the craze is over sub ohm coils, other then you can vape them at lower voltages with a hotter coil. I already get a ton of vapor, really no need for more. Standard or medium resistence coils are fine for me,

Very agree with you Brad, last week they stocked a lot of new things there like Atty, RBA clones, Meck Mods and tanks. And the build starting to get very good right out of the box, I had a conversation whit Geek, one of the staff there and FT change their way to fit the coil so its work better and don't need a rebuild right away, and all my 4 drippers work really great out of the box :)

I've never had a dripper or even tried one for that matter. One reason being my budget is really low for my vaping, so I'm stuck with my Protank v2. I'm not even sure what dripper I should start out with as I never really got into watching reviews and checking any out. PLUS, if I were to get some kanthal and silica wick to do my own rebuilds (which is most definitely easy enough to do) I would not be able to check my resistances as I don't have a meter of any kind either. Quite a bummer, really. Gotta' start working on my budget so I can get some of this great FastTech gear I've been hearing about.. *ever since I first vaped!*

Yep, that's how I got into dripping. Got that V5 and then cannibalized a coil from my CE6 replacement head at first. Then started the rebuilding fun after all of that. There are cheap dealers on ebay that sell kanthal wire and wick combos for less than $10 and that'll last you at least a good little bit. If you don't have a mod that can check ohms… I'd be weary b/c if there is a short… a lot of those ego style batteries do not have protections and will get damaged. Most APVs (mods) have short circuit protections as well as ohm checkers so maybe that would something else to look into beforehand. I understand about not having a huge budget so FastTech will help you out a lot, cheap and reliable.

Or, instead of making the full jump into mods, you could look into the iTaste VV/VW v3.0 which has short circuit protections, has an ohm checker, 510/ego threading, is a pass-through, and does pretty much what all the other mods do.
